Researching

Today I have done a lot as far as researching video games. I have compiled the years 1992-1994 working on right now today. Who knew there were so many letter D video games that were made in the early 90s!? Did any of you readers know that Doom (original Doom) came out in 1993? Well it did for the DOS, Mac OS, Sega 32X, Atari Jaguar, SNES, PS1, 3DO, PC, Sega Saturn, the Acorn Archimedes, Game Boy Advance, and finally the Commodore VIC-20. Some of these systems unfamiliar to you guys out there? Well most people should recognize the DOS, it was the computer that came after the Apple II and before the PC, it was like the mix between the two, ranging to be able to play DOS games on say like a Windows 98 computer (I used to own one before it died when I was in high school!) And I actually plan on purchasing a new (old) DOS computer system, I already have an older monitor, this keyboard I use to type is definitely usable since it doesn't connect to this computer via usb, an older mouse, a...

Poll Questionnaire :P

Today's post will be shorter as I had to go into work today, but I will create that poll. In which game you guys want me to talk about, I will take the shortest amount of time to publish it in full detail but it will happen. There will be votes on 20 different games. Yes 20 all ranging across the board of genre's, these 20 games are the ones I'm most interested in researching. At a later time I might do 20 games that people haven't even heard of, but for now 20 games that I'm sure anybody reading has heard of and I will allow you to post comments on this post to the poll in what specifically you want to know about the game if I hadn't answered it in the post of the final product. Here is the link and be sure to vote for what you want to know! http://www.strawpoll.me/10908979 On the last note I'm glad I have 20 views on each of my posts and that makes me super happy, if you enjoy reading about this, I know it's early I will again try and post every day! J...

Major Series Franchises'

Today's post I will obviously talk about gaming once again only this time I'm going to dive right into not only my favorite games, but also games that I want to do as a series, whether just for myself or on YouTube. Game series like Grand Theft Auto, Star Wars, Harry Potter, Lara Croft, and even Forza Horizon. I have so many games I own that I haven't even started to play and my list of wanting to complete my collection to every game of the world is still growing. I know a major series is Grand Theft Auto, which entails wrongness of doingness in a sense. The first two games of the franchise some of you guys out there may not know but are in a top down kind of gameplay. The series that really made it take off was the third installment. Hitting the charts gta 3 became gta 1 to most gamers and players in mind. Later installments like Vice City and San Andreas came later. In fact there is a movie entitled "The Gamechangers" which talks about how San Andreas came to be...

The Beginning

So I'm a video gamer, love it to death and I am also a researcher when it comes to video games. I'm researching every video game ever made from the original Pong made in 1969 to this years Pokemon Go. If the game is listed on Wikipedia then I know it very well. Okay just basics like title, release date, platform, gameplay, and genre. This is my first entry and I'm only scratching the surface on what's about to come. I'm going to be talking about how I research, what I research specifically, and most important I want to turn my research into video's which will happen eventually on my channel to YouTube which is LJgreentigers where I already have gameplay of for different games I've been attached to. I'm writing both to lj here and also to blogger. Wanting to do a blog on what I research, how, and more importantly why. I'll be updating soon, it is fairly late tonight and tomorrow will begin my new journey on posting hopefully once a week if not once a ...

Day 1

Today is the first of August and I am ready to start my journey in writing out how I collect games and whatnot. This will probably be a longer post and I will be typing throughout the day so I'm not typing everything all at once. So I will describe how I research the games. First I look on Wikipedia at the lists and I find the title, publisher, developer, release date, platforms, genre, and then I post a link onto my google sheets of a YouTube url of every platform there is. Currently I am working on letter D video games. I have completed up until the year 2015 0-9 and letters A-C. I started this project about two springs ago and it has grown unto this much and many games. 0-9 games currently in the English released version there are 309 games (by including all the different platforms) not including the multiple platforms and by saying there's only 1 game per 1 platform there's a total of 145 titles that start with 0, 1, 2, etc until 9. As for A's the two numbers are 2,...
